Anne Hedge

Head Instructor

Anne Hedge is a USHJA Certified Trainer and is the head trainer at Whitehedge Farm. Anne has been riding, training, showing and teaching Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation for over 30 years. Anne is also the current President of The United States Sport Horse Breeders Association (USSHBA) an IRS 501c3 non-profit group.   Anne has been involved with breeding, training and sales of show hunters and jumpers, but has a great love of starting young horses undersaddle and also teaching children and adults great basics with a solid foundation. Horses coming out of the breeding and training program at Whitehedge Farm have gone on to Championships at  major horse shows across the country in both the hunters and jumpers. She has developed and trained the popular and important Hanoverian Hunter stallion, Cabalito since she found him as a young 3 year old stallion in Germany. Students under her tutelage have succeeded as well from cross rails up to the junior hunters and equitation. Anne believes in a very strong base of flatwork using classical American horsemanship. She believes training should happen at home, and horse shows are where the horses and students can go to show off their skills and compete against peers in their same ability level. The Whitehedge Farm show team attends a mix of shows according to ability level, from local up to A rated USEF shows located across Texas, and around the country.
